Disruptor

Definition

If a company is considered a disruptor or as being disruptive, it has found an innovative way of doing business in an existing sector or is creating a new market and in the process, is shaking up the status quo. Many organizations have been described as disruptive, but the label is only really justified when the company permanently disrupts the existing sector, forcing established businesses to change their approach.
