Sitel Newcastle take on 24 HOUR CHALLENGE for charity
Sitel Newcastle has taken on a 24 hour challenge, all in the name of charity.
Eight of our colleagues from Newcastle have been playing table tennis and keeping a treadmill going from noon ‘til noon… AND with no sleep!
You may ask why? Newcastle support a local underprivileged primary school, Mountfield Primary, and are raising funds to purchase a Multi-Use Games Area for the children. They can then spend time having as much fun as possible outdoors, and in a safe environment. The school have had a very difficult few months this year, with a 9 year old girl who passed away following a hit and run, devastating the school and all of the pupils.
Newcastle aren’t the only site who have been working hard to support charity this week though. Our team in Kingston have also raised money through bake sales and a pyjama day for #ChildrenInNeed2019 this week.
That’s not all! Sitel Kingston are pleased to have raised a whopping: £1120 so far this year.
Kingston Food Bank – £198.00 – This money will go to help families and elderly people who are poverty stricken and will fill some cupboards this winter. We all appreciate the need for a hot meal at this time of year.
Parkinson’s UK – £275 – This money will go into Parkinsons’ research and support for their patients
Macmillan Coffee Morning- £62.00 – Providing individual cancer sufferers support throughout all aspects of their daily needs and living.
British Heart Foundation – £62.00 – Will go towards life-saving research.
Wear it Pink – Breast Cancer Now Charity- £296.00 – Will go towards life-saving research and patient support.
With a number of events still in the pipeline this year, we are looking forward to raising even more! Keep an eye on our blog updates over the coming weeks to find out how our other sites have been raising money for charities close to them.
