As a Sitel at Home associate, you will be taking inbound customer service calls, including billing inquiries, account or product inquiries, product or service orders, installation scheduling or technical product troubleshooting.

You will have a dedicated Coach and Subject Matter Expert available to support you via phone, email and live chat.

Associates must have a home office environment that is noise and distraction free. Common distractions may include interruptions from family members, cell phones, television, music, doorbells and pets.

No, you must work from your home office Internet Protocol (IP) address. We deal with sensitive customer and client information and we need to ensure a safe and secure network at all times.

No, there are no fees to apply or become an agent. In the past, scammers have tried to falsely recruit associates under our name. Sitel will never request banking/financial information. If you experience something that doesn’t feel quite right, contact us and we will get back to you quickly.

APPLICATION

Within 24 hours of completing your application, you will receive an email from Sitel Group acknowledging receipt. If you do not receive this email, we have not received your application and you will need to reapply.

Any fees associated with the background check, credit check and drug screen are covered by Sitel Group. There is no cost to the applicant.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

Minimum requirements include:

  • Desktop or laptop (Apple/Mac, Tablets, Smart devices, Chromebook and Android systems are NOT compatible)
  • Approved USB headset
  • Operation system – Windows 10
  • All peripherals must be wired (wireless keyboard, mouse or headset are NOT allowed)
  • A separate computer monitor (19” or larger) with 1280×1024 minimum resolution
  • Anti-virus enabled – Windows Defender or Microsoft Essentials (pre-installed on most Windows systems)
  • RAM – required 4 GB (minimum)
  • Processor speed – Dual Core 2 GHz (minimum)
  • Free space – 20 GB (minimum)
  • 3 available USB ports
As part of the application process, we provide a built-in computer diagnostic test to determine if your computer meets our requirements.

No, Sitel Group does not support Apple/Mac computers.

Minimum specifications include:

  • Internet speed – download speed 5 MB; upload speed 3 MB
  • DSL, Cable, or Fiber required – WiFi, WiMax, Satellite, dial-up, and/or Hotspots are NOT compatible
  • Home Router with wired Ethernet link to PC/Laptop

You can use any ISP as long as it meets our required upload/download speeds and service is provided via cable modem or DSL. ISP must be highly stable, with no packet loss and latency under 100ms.

A basic home-phone line is required. This includes traditional phone lines, as well as cable-based lines (Comcast, Verizon, etc.). However, VoIP services such as Skype, Vonage, magicjack, etc. are not permitted.

No, a long distance plan is not required.

No, Sitel’s software is independent and cannot access data or files on your computer.

TRAINING

Yes, all associates are required to attend an online training class. The length of the training class will depend on the complexity of the project.

Training for positions varies depending on the complexity of the assignment. Training can last between three to six weeks.

Yes, training classes are paid by the hour. If a class is 40 hours, you will be paid for 40 hours.

You will be required to download software, which is available online. You will need a Sitel-approved telephone and headset. More details will be provided prior to starting.

No, work schedules are based on our clients’ call volume. However, we do try to coordinate training classes to be close to the work schedules being offered.

Attendance is required. If you miss even one class, you will be dropped from the project. Sitel Group does not offer make-up training classes. Since a lot of material is covered in each class, missing even one would be detrimental to your success on the project.

SCHEDULING

Schedules for each position vary depending on client needs. When hiring for a project, prospective agents will receive an email with the available schedules.

Both full-time and part-time positions are available. Associates must have availability to train full-time (40 hours per week).

BENEFITS AND COMPENSATION

Benefits are offered to full-time employees. Benefits become active on the first day of the month following your 90-days.

Associates are paid by the hour. Checks are issued bi-weekly via direct deposit or our total pay card (debit card) program.
