Sitel Group Staff - December 21, 2017
This holiday season, Sitel associates around North America are displaying the big hearts they have for one another and their communities. With many families facing financial hardships, times are often tight around the holidays. Sitel Angel Trees provide gifts to fellow associates who do not have the means to purchase gifts on their own. Associates needing assistance in purchasing gifts for their children or grandchildren complete an application which becomes an “angel” on the tree to be “adopted” by other associates who are able to help them out by purchasing gifts.
It is one of the most selfless and fulfilling initiatives we see throughout the year, and we have seen such wonderful stories and gestures that overwhelm us with pride and joy.
“Sitel Oak Ridge loves giving,” said Jill Rosenbalm, HR Business Partner, Sitel Oak Ridge, Tennessee. “We consistently give to our community and our veterans who have given us so much more. We give to our local children who are our future. But, during the holiday season, we feel it’s most important to give to our Sitel family who is our strength and heart. It has become a Christmas tradition.
Sitel San Angelo has participated in the Sitel Angel Tree program for more than a decade. While it’s a lot of work, it’s worth it.
“More than a month worth of work melts away when the first associate comes to pick up their items and gives us the most sincere thank you I could ever hear,” said Krystina Gatica, HR Business Partner, Sitel San Angelo, Texas. “Every year there is a story that I am told that makes me cry – how children would go without if it was not for our Angel Tree. It is the most fulfilling thing I do every year.
For the past six years, Sitel Amarillo has put up the Angel Tree.
“It feels so good to know you are able to help out someone in need and ensure kids are able to experience the joy of Christmas,” said Stephane Lucero, HR Coordinator, Sitel Amarillo, Texas. “Being able to help these families receive something as simple as a new pair of shoes or a brand new set of clothes is amazing to me.”
Sitel St. Catharine’s participated with an Angel Tree that helps external community needs.
“We work with the community partner Community Care and they provide us with more than 50 names of children, teens and elderly registered with them,” said Giselle Hinds, HR Business Partner, Sitel St. Catharine’s, Canada. “Our associates understand there is always someone in need somewhere and it’s one of the best ways to give back directly to a family in need in our community.
Keep up the Christmas spirit, Sitel!
