Sitel Footprints In Action

Here are just some of the things our associates are doing around
the world to improve the quality of life for others,
provide value to our business and contribute
to the communities in which they live and work.

The Sitel Leavesden and Exeter sites in the U.K. helped support Comic Relief – Red Nose Day. This is a U.K.-wide fundraising event organized by Comic Relief to raise contributions for those across Africa and the U.K. who are facing injustice or poverty. The day was created to encourage people to cast inhibitions aside, put on a “Red Nose” and do something funny to help raise money for the charities.

In addition to volunteering to take calls, the Leavesden team arranged fundraising activities throughout the week. It was amazing to see so many people — 140 in all — willing to give up their Friday evening to participate.

During a visit to the Pasig 3 site in the Philippines, U.S. Ambassador to the Philippines Harry K. Thomas Jr. joined Baguio City Mayor Mauricio Domogan in attending the inauguration of Sitel Philippines' latest Baby's Haven facility. Baby's Haven is the name for the facility installed in Sitel contact centers where mothers can nurse their infants or spend time with them during their break time. "I'm glad to know that an employer in the BPO industry goes through so much work [to ensure they are a valuable employer]," said Thomas.

When the Sitel Las Vegas, Nevada (U.S.) site had celebrations recently, the team ensured that the unused food was put to good use in the community by donating it to the Las Vegas Rescue Mission. The most recent event allowed the site to donate enough uncooked hamburgers and hot dogs to feed over 400 people in need. "Giving back to the community is a commitment for Sitel," said Mike L., Las Vegas site director.
