Happy Pride Month!
Around the world, millions are waving rainbow flags, wearing bright colors and marching in parades all throughout the month of June to show their support during Pride Month! Pride Month is a global movement to honor and raise awareness for the LGBTQ+ community.
One of our core values at Foundever™ is to welcome and celebrate diversity and inclusion in our communities, and Pride Month is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the differences and similarities that bind us together. We’re committed to creating a respectful and safe environment for every one of our 170,000 people — no matter their race, religion, gender or sexual orientation.
Within our organization, we think growth starts with education: this means learning each other’s stories and perspectives and recognizing the positive impact of growth and diversity.
How we show up with pride at Foundever
We all have a role in driving equality and inclusion forward, whether as a member of the community or as an ally. That’s why we open the dialogue by giving our employees the platform to share their stories, with the hope to spark conversation and drive progress forward.
We do this by celebrating the LGBTQ+ community on social media, hosting webinars, sharing testimonials, having contests and parades, and giving our employees the platform to share their stories on Foundever™ Stories.
This year for Pride Month, we’re asking our employees how they show up with pride. Here are some testimonials from our Foundever employees:

Additionally, we have LGBTQ+ groups within Foundever that connect, support and drive progress towards growth. Having a support system is fundamental, as lesbian, gay and bisexual adults are more than twice as likely as heterosexual adults to experience a mental health condition. We believe in having a strong network that can provide words of encouragement and a safe place to process emotions.
While the month is an opportunity to celebrate how far we have come in society, it’s also a time to recognize the many people fighting for their right to live freely and authentically.
Globally, there has been much improvement in recent years as far as awareness and understanding, but we still have growing to do. One-fifth (20%) of LGBTQ Americans, for example, have experienced discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity when applying for jobs. Everything we do as individuals and communities makes an impact — that’s why we believe it’s important for our organization to take a stance.
