Nashville, Tenn. — October 29, 2012—Sitel, a leading global customer care outsourcing provider, today announced the 15-year anniversary of its Asheville, N.C. location. The facility will celebrate the event with employee award presentations, visits from local dignitaries and a luncheon for invited guests. Sitel is one of the largest employers in the Asheville area, and continues to provide jobs and long-term careers for members of the community. Sitel’s Asheville location opened with approximately 200 staff members and now employs more than 500 associates and continues to add new positions.
A number of team members will be recognized for their service at Sitel. Thirty-three (33) employees individuals will be honored with plaques for more than 10 years of service. Many of these team members began as customer service representatives and have risen to leadership roles in the organization as coaches, learning specialists and operations managers. Even the site director, Jean Harmon, began with Sitel as an agent.
In addition to the festivities, Sitel will mark the anniversary with local television and newspaper ads. Throughout the year, Sitel Asheville hosts team-building events, including cookouts and seasonal celebrations. Sitel Asheville also recognizes its staff on birthdays and anniversaries, and rewards top performers at the Site Director’s All-Star Lunch. Sitel and its employees have also worked together to help the community with contributions to food pantries and a recent back-to-school drive for Asheville-area children.
